Many CSEdWeek events go beyond the Hour of Code, incorporating a wide range of activities for students and, in some cases, for their parents, families, and teachers. To see what others are doing, and to get ideas for what you might do, browse all of the listings or search using criteria given on the right hand side of the page. You can also view the map to see events across the country and in your area.

Please submit a description of your own event to add to the calendar so that we can build this resource for others who follow. Thanks!

Come and play with Scratch, a modular programming language developed for kids at MIT. With Scratch, you will create your own animations, games, stories, and art projects. Learn the basics or spend time on your own projects. This session is open to Scratchers of all experience levels. While there will be lots of independent work time, there will also be lots of opportunity to interact with other participants.

Before the session, each participant should sign up for a Scratch online account. This allows access to the online programming environment and to sharing projects with the international Scratch community. Go to scratch.mit.edu and join. Be sure to bring your user name and password with you.
