Mendez Fundamental Computer Science Student/Family Night-'Hour of Code for All!' LIMITED

Mendez Fundamental Intermediate School will host an "Hour of Code for ALL" Student-Family Evening Event. We will have 3 computer labs and multiple rolling cart available for students and their families to experience the tutorials offered by code.org in honor of Computer Science Week. We will broadcast the 9 minute promotional video from "Hour of Code" in which many computer science wizards of today and President Obama invite students to participate in the Hour of Code Event. The video will be shown on three large screens in our gymnasium with a special sound system. We will have special parents, who are professional or experienced in computer science share spotlighted as our own "Computer Science Wizards". Students who complete at least on hour will be awarded a certificate for their participation and students who complete 20 hours will be awarded "Computer Science Medals" embossed with the Lamp of Knowledge.
