The Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics. The idea behind it is that every student should have the opportunity to learn computer science because it helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity.

In 2013, 15 million students worldwide learned an Hour of Code. This year, American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) is taking part in this global phenomenon, along with tens of millions of students from over 180 countries.

The event format will be as follows: participants will be divided into two groups - absolute beginners and people with previous experience. Computer Science Student Union (CSSU) members will conduct programming tutorials with both groups. After the tutorials, each group will be given one problem based on the covered material.

Everyone will get a certificate for participation, and for the best - there will be PRIZES!
