Many CSEdWeek events go beyond the Hour of Code, incorporating a wide range of activities for students and, in some cases, for their parents, families, and teachers. To see what others are doing, and to get ideas for what you might do, browse all of the listings or search using criteria given on the right hand side of the page. You can also view the map to see events across the country and in your area.
Please submit a description of your own event to add to the calendar so that we can build this resource for others who follow. Thanks!
During 2014, 620 students from public schools in Uberlândia did a lot of coding using Scratch in order to win the PTM Olympiads. At the end, some of these students were rewarded for excelling as good Scratch coders. Their Scratch projects can be viewed online at www.i9nagi.ufu.br/ptm And, on December 11th, some of the winners will have the opportunity to know better about working in an IT company, while visiting SPK Sistemas. PTM (Programas Talentos Matemáticos) was conducted by i9Nagi during 2014 to present Computer Science concepts to 13 to 16 years-old students. PTM is our effort to show these students that they can do more than just consume technology. They can also produce technology.
